I am happy to have found this great garden planning tool. It is intelligently designed, easy to use and a joy to look at. I appreciate that the worksheet is completely customizable. I am a typical, suburban, small backyard, gardener who grows to stock my year-round pantry. I see this worksheet saving me time and money as well as improving my production per S.F. I even learned about new varieties with the hyperlinks to vendors. A must for every victory garden.

The hyperlinks were a game changer for me. I can’t tell you how many times I added seeds to my shopping cart online and then my cart got erased or the seeds went out of stock in the few days it took me to put my plan together. It was so frustrating! By putting all the links in one document and then just click-click-click adding them all to my cart at once when I was done, it made it sooooooo much easier. I’m so glad my nerdy spreadsheet helped you Arlynn!

It’s wonderful to have one document that consolidates all my gardening planning in one place. I can pre-plan how many plants to buy, when to plant them, and link the specific seeds I’ll be purchasing. My garden plans can so easily end up scattered and all over the place. This spreadsheet keeps everything in one file and was clearly thoughtfully designed. Thank you, April!

That was me too, scattered all over the place. I’m so glad this helped you Elizabeth!

An excellent little planning tool, and a very good way to keep all you planning in one neat place. Easy to use, endlessly customizable and a good way to motivate yourself to get stuck into planting. I’m looking forward to being able to compare harvest sizes from year to year and adjust my planting accordingly, rather than guessing at how much seed to buy to give me the yields I’d like.

That was one of the things that drove me to using a spreadsheet actually, instead of a journal! I wanted it to add up all the weights for me and do the math. You will love it once you have multiple tabs with different years in it, like I have. What a treasure trove of information!

I’m just beginning to use the spreadsheet but I’m finally able to put all the information about each vegetable in a single row. I also like the fact that I can sort by planting dates so that I start my seed trays in plenty of time before I need to transplant. I’m just now starting to use this so I’m sure I’ll have an even better review once my spring and fall crops have come in.

That’s exactly how I use it! That was one of my “pain points” when I made this thing — I had NO IDEA which seed was supposed to be started when and it was a bit overwhelming to organize all the dates. This is easily sortable though! I’m so glad it’s helping you Roger! Check back in with us — I’d love to hear how the harvest goes!
