About the Position

The Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Founder and will be the company-wide go-to person for executing marketing strategies for all clients, whether that be posting to social media, strategizing SEO, updating websites, or creating content products. For the right candidate, this 20-hour per week remote position has the potential to become full-time and/or take on operations and management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Updating and publishing pages, blog posts, event posts, and products in WordPress
  • Integrating third-party WordPress embedded features (Flipsnack, Kuula, YouTube, Instagram, etc)
  • Editing photos for website content and social media
  • Creating and managing affiliate and referral links
  • Strategizing, writing, scheduling, managing, and analyzing social media content on various platforms
  • Uploading to and managing YouTube channel, including writing descriptions, researching topics and trends, and planning videos
  • SEO of website and video content though editing of existing content, redesigning site structures, and keyword-friendly topic strategies
  • Strategizing, designing, writing, and scheduling one-time and automated email marketing campaigns
  • Editing and/or reformatting written content for other platforms (for instance a blog into a video script)
  • Utilizing ChatGPT to save time, while ensuring high quality content
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Posting written content using basic HTML links and social tags to a variety of platforms (project management software, Google Docs, WordPress, social media platforms)
  • Monitoring and making timely updates to project management software with tasks statuses, edits, and feedback.
  • Offering feedback on and updating style guides
  • Sourcing photos and/or video to demonstrate written content (by using in-house media database, product photos, coordinating with other team members, locating stock photos, or creating original paid photos or videos)
  • Attending regular one-on-one and team meetings via Zoom
  • Designing YouTube thumbnails and content products, as design skills permit
  • Styling websites using CSS, as coding skills permit

Compensation

  • $20/hour for 20 hours per week on a contractor basis
  • Flexible work schedule
