Great product
This product was very easy to use and worked well to protect our garden from temperatures as low as 29 degrees, and over 24 hours below freezing. We did water the garden, added incandescent lights and added a small heater inside the cover, but the heater had a very minimal output. The fabric is breathable and was great to leave in place during the sunny part of the day. Will purchase again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed Results in My Experiment
Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2021
I purchased this based on the recommendation of the famous Niki Jabbour, and ran some experiments of my own.

I used this fabric on two raised garden beds. I also had two raised beds with the same family of plants for experimental control.

The first experiment used Agfabric on a bed of Cruciferae (broccoli, brussels sprouts, and kale). For a control, I planted a bed of Cruciferae (cauliflower, brussels sprouts, and kale) in an adjacent raised bed. Both beds were new, and had fresh store bought soil. Seeds were direct sown in early April in USDA zone 5.

By late May I noticed a dramatic difference between the bed using Agfabric, and the control. Nearly all of the seeds under Agfabric sprouted, and there were very few weeds. Unfortunately, I didn't count the number of seeds sown, so I can't calculate yield percentage. Very few of the seeds in the control sprouted, and the weeds were numerous. See the attached pictures.

I performed a similar experiment with plants of the nightshade family. I transplanted my tomato and basil plants in early May, and covered one one with Agfabric, and left the other uncovered. Both beds used a weed barrier as "black mulch" for 75% of each bed. The Agfabric bed received a layer of straw the control did not, as the wind was too high to put straw down without Agfabric. This may be a source of error.

Both the tomatoes and basil in the control bed seemed to be much larger and healthier than those under the Agfabric. Of the 3 tomatoes in the control group, all 3 seemed to have grown, and appeared healthy. Of the 4 tomatoes under the Agfabric, 2 appeared healthy and growing, and 2 had begun to turn yellow. However, the one tomato under the Agfabric that didn't have "black mulch" did appear to be the largest and healthiest overall. Perhaps I will experiment with tomatoes under Agfabric without "black mulch" in future seasons. Pictures of both beds are attached. The two yellowing tomatoes under Agfabric are in the bottom corners, and difficult to see.

I look forward to experimenting with Agfabric in the future. However, I have had some of it tear at the corners of some of my supports. I think I will be able to get another season or two out of it if I'm careful.
